Evaluation
For this project I managed to create a script from scratch and
make it well detailed so that everyone who was talking part in the filming would
get a better understanding on how the characters would look and what lines
would be in what scenes, also to go along with this I created a detailed
storyboard to help the actors and camera crew know how the scenes would look
like and the angles which the camera would be facing.
Unfortunately, during the casting one of the two actors said
that they were unable to do it as they had something organised on the day of the
initial filming, and a day before I was going to film with the other actress talking
on the absent one’s part, the other actor said that they were unable to do it
as they had to leave early. Therefore, I was unable to do it on that day and couldn’t
book the place any other time as it was going to be the weekend, so I had to
arrange to do it during the weekend in a room which wasn’t exactly suited for
the video but was all that I could do with as I didn’t have many days left
before we had to start editing the shots.
During the video there
is quite a significant change in the lighting this was due to the fact that it
was filmed during mid-afternoon and the sun was starting to set, this led to my
camera trying to auto-focus during some of the shots. Unfortunately, I broke
the 180-degree rule when the character walks through the door which was an
error I made when filming the shot. In the video there wasn’t as many different
types of shots as I would have liked as there was in the end only 2 of us who
were doing the filming and acting and took it in turns filming one another
making it impossible to do any two shots as there wouldn’t be anyone operating
the camera.
Overall, this video didn’t go how I wanted it to as the date
which I originally planned to film had to be cancelled and in the end I could
only do with what I had with the little amount
of people.
